HellRaisers, Goodjob invited to $40,000 FCDB CUP

HellRaisers and GoodJob have both been invited to compete at FCDB CUP’17, the event's organisers have announced.

Dinamo Brest, a football club competing in Belarus' top flight, and the Belarussian eSports Federation will host from November 24-26 an offline event at the Falcon Club, in Minsk, with a combined prize pool of $50,000 for CS:GO and FIFA.

HellRaisers, who recently made headlines by handing a trial to Kristjan "⁠fejtZ⁠" Allsaar, and GoodJob, one of the strongest Belarussian squads, will be joined by two other invitees and by four teams determined by online qualifiers.

The qualifiers will begin with an open stage, scheduled for October 28 and featuring up to 512 teams. The top four sides will advance to a closed bracket, in which they will be joined by eight invited teams.

The 12 participants of the closed qualifier will be drawn into two round-robin groups, with the group winners automatically progressing to the offline tournament. The bottom-placed sides will be eliminated, while the remaining eight sides will face off in a single-elimination, best-of-three bracket for the final two spots at FCDB CUP’17.
